# Redactly

> Redactly is a PII detection and redaction API. It finds names, emails, phone numbers, SSNs, addresses, card numbers, and 30+ other entity types in text, JSON, and CSV, and returns the content with those spans replaced, masked, or removed. No training or configuration is required.

Redactly is a SaaS product and REST API used by teams in healthcare, finance, legal, and tech. Requests are processed in memory and submitted documents are not retained. ## API

Base URL: https://api.bitbanger.in

- `POST /v1/redact` — body `{text, entities?, style, threshold, webhook_url?}`; returns `{original, redacted, entities[], entity_count}` where each entity carries `entity`, `text`, `start`, `end`, `score`
- `POST /v1/redact/file` — multipart with `file` (.json or .csv), `style`, `threshold`; returns the redacted file as a download
- `GET /health` — returns `{status, model}`

Authentication: `X-API-Key: rdct_...` header on every redaction request. Missing or revoked keys return 401; empty text or unsupported files return 422; a loading model returns 503.
